Find something blue and something white to hold up when the songs calls for the colors.  In between, we will dance around, celebrate Israel, and enjoy the music!

ACTIVITIES

• Sand (or Salt) Archeology – (video)

Hide some small objects in a try of sand or salt (whatever you have on hand).  Using a paint brush or an old tooth brush, see if you can gently uncover the hidden objects.  Re-hide the objects, and try it again!

• Play Yam/Yabasha (Sea/Shore) – 

A popular game among young children in Israel is Yam/Yabasha.  Mark off an area with a towel or tape to be the Yam (Sea) and when the leader says “Yam”, jump in.  When the leader says, “Yabasha”, jump out.  Take turns being the leader.

• Make a blue and white collage – Blue and White are Israel’s colors!

Find a magazine, advertisement, or scrap paper that you can cut up and cut out blue and white pieces of paper.  Get some paper and glue and create your collage.  Want to add to it?  Find some fabric or other pieces to glue on.  Maybe you even have some blue or white glitter to add.  Here is a picture Tel Aviv and the of flag of Israel to inspire you!
