Activities –
  • Make a puppet show –
Use socks or puppet you have in the house to act out the story.  One hand can be Mole and one can be Bear, or you can have one puppet and your grown up can have another.  Can you use different voices for the different characters?  Will your puppets have more adventures after they reenact the story?
  • Host a Teddy Bear Picnic –
Get out a blanket and some stuffed animals.  Set up places for each one with plates, napkins, cups, etc.  What kind of food will you serve?  Did the animals come from far to attend your picnic?  How did they arrive?  Did they bring food to share?  Are they using good manners or do you need to help them remember to use please and thank you?
  • Deconstruct Flowers –
Find some flowers in your yard and pick a few (make sure to ask permission.)  Pull the flowers apart.  Is it hard to do?  Are some parts easier than others?  Can you pull the stem apart?  Do different parts have different smells?  What do the different parts feel like?  Do they all feel the same or are there differences?   What can you create with the loose parts you now have?

Learning –
