Activities –

• Collect items from nature and make shapes –

Take a walk in your back yard or through your neighborhood.  Collect some leaves, rocks, flowers, twigs, whatever you can find.  See if you can put them together in different ways to make shapes.  What did you make?  Can you tell a story about your creation?

• Play - What’s Missing? 

You will need several small items from around your house and a cloth that can cover them all.  Put the items down together on the floor or a table and take a good look at them.  Have a grownup cover the items with the cloth and remove one.  Can you guess which item is missing?  Were you right?  Play as many times as you want.  Do you want a turn at being the leader and covering and revealing the items?

• Make a placemat –

Decorate a placemat for your seder table or dinner table.  Find a piece of paper and use crayons, oil pastels, paint, whatever you have around the house.  Think of something that makes you happy, something you are grateful for.  Use colors of Spring if you would like, and make a placemat that reminds you of those thoughts.  Want to do more?  Make a placemat for everyone in your family.  Think of something that would make them happy and use that thought to inspire your drawing.
